The iPhone 3G and 3G-S are two models of smart-phones produced by Apple Computer.

The iPhone 3G is Apple's second generation iPhone model. iPhone 3G-S is the 3rd gen.

If you are a new AT&T customer or an existing customer, eligible for upgrade (all previous contracts fulfilled) you will be able to buy the iPhone3G 8GB for $99, iPhone3G-S 16GB for $199 & iPhone3G-S 32GB for $299 (with a two-year contract). If you are not eligible for this subsidy (already have a prior contract, but have not completed it yet) the cost will be $200 more, with a respective cost of $299, $399 & $499.

Both models will use the iPhone OS version 3.0. However, certain features will be exclusive to the 3G-S, such as Voice Control and Video Editing Tools.

Because the 3G-S will have more powerful hardware, specifically a more powerful GPU, certain games may be only available to users with the newer model.
