GIMP and Photoshop are digital image editors. GIMP is an open source application and Photoshop is a proprietary application developed by Adobe Incorporated. Both are designed to be feature-rich and appeal to professionals; neither is designed for simple, easy, quick tasks. GIMP is available for Linux, Mac OSX, and Windows. Photoshop is available for Windows and Mac OSX.
