Frugalware vs Kubuntu
From WikiVS, the open comparison website
Frugalware and Kubuntu are two prominent Linux distributions that use KDE as their graphical interface (Frugalware let you choose if you want Gnome, KDE or another one at install). Frugalware is based on slackware and follows slackware's design goals of simplicity, providing fresh and stable software, and providing software without modifications to the "upstream" (original developers') work. Kubuntu focuses on ease-of-use, and is compatible with a wide range of hardware and software thanks to its use of an Ubuntu base system and Ubuntu repositories (which in turn are based on Debian).
