Creation vs Evolution
Creation and Evolution are two processes by which the current world is believed to have come to existence. The school of thought that believes that Creation had a bigger role in the formation of the world is called Creationism. The school is thought that believes that Evolution had a bigger role is called Darwinism. Darwinism claims to be based on a forensic examination of data, while Creation claims documentary evidence more adequately explains the same data.
It is difficult to sensibly debate Creation and Evolution because of the differences in presuppositions that lead to these understandings. Darwinism has a strict leaning on Naturalism--the belief that every effect must have a naturalistic cause. Darwinism's assumption of Naturalism does not require any involvement of a higher creative being. Creationism does not strictly adhere to Naturalism, asserting that certain phenomena can only be explained by supernatural processes.
[edit] Cosmology and Biology
You can either talk about the creation of the universe (The Big Bang vs. Creationism) or the beginning of life (Abiogenesis vs. Creationism). Evolution only deals with life that already exists.
