Blending vs Juicing
Blending and Juicing both enable the body to more effectively absorb the nutrients from plant matter.

[edit] Fiber
plant cells have walls made out of indigestible fiber which traps nutrients inside and prevents them from being efficiently extracted by the human body.
[edit] Blending
blending uses a high speed blade ( up to 300 miles per hour in the best blenders ) to crush cell walls and release the nutrients. the end product contains a mixture of crushed cell walls and cell contents.
[edit] Juicing
juicing can be accomplished in a number of ways but the end result is the liquid contents of the cells are separated from the nonliquid pulp, including the fiber in the cell walls.
[edit] Advantages of Juicing
juice can be consumed and absorbed faster
[edit] Advantages of Blending
blending preserves fiber, which many people don't get enough of in diet
[edit] Disadvantages of Juicing
sweet juices can create blood insulin spikes leading to obesity and diabetes
juicers are usually hard to clean
[edit] Disadvantages of Blending
it may be hard to consume enough blended salads ( smoothies ) to get in all the nutrients you need because the same amount of produce results in a smoothie of about 3 times the size as the glass of juice resulting from same amount of produce.
